INTESOL PERU'S executive team is here to provide the highest level of client service to our TESOL/TEFL trainees. We are here to make sure that your stay in Peru is comfortable and enjoyable and that our TESOL/TEFL program consistently exceeds your expectations.

Ken Jones
Executive Director of INTESOL PERU, Ken has a Bachelor’s in Communications, a Masters in Human Resources and Organizational Development, and an MBA in International Business. He has worked in international business development, professional training, and education for 16 years. He is TEFL certified and began teaching English as a hobby in 1998. Ken has more than 8000 hours of ESL teaching experience, in Europe and South America, and an additional 5000 hours in professional training.

Tom Kearin
Tom is an INTESOL PERU teacher-trainer, and is also Director of Operations for the company. Tom has a Bachelor's in Accounting, an MBA in Finance, and is a certified accountant (CPA) in the states of Massachusetts and Nevada; he is also TEFL certified. Tom is an ex-corporate Vice President with more than 18 years of professional business experience, and was previously an Accounting professor at the University of Nevada. Having left his corporate career in 2002, Tom has since taught more than 5000 hours as an ESL teacher and teacher-trainer.

Mark Deming
Mark is an INTESOL PERU teacher-trainer. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Latin American Studies. He also completed a 1000 hour post-graduate TESOL Certification course at Seattle Pacific University. Mark has travelled and taught in Spain, Central America, and South America. Mark is fluent in both English and Spanish and also speaks conversational French. Overall, he has logged more than 2000 hours of ESL teaching and teacher-training.


Heidy Aspilcueta
Director of Administration for INTESOL PERU, Heidi has a Bachelor’s in Systems Engineering and is TEFL certified. She is a native Spanish speaker and speaks English fluently; she holds a proficiency certification in English from the University of Michigan in the U.S.; and she speaks conversational French. Heidi has been teaching EFL for 5 years and has taught at both the university level and at the primary school level; as well as teaching at Cusco’s Pedagogical Institute as a teacher trainer. Heidi has more than 2000 hours of ESL teaching experience.

Ramon Stevens
Academic Director for INTESOL PERU, Ram?n brings a background in business, education, and law to his department servicing both clients and teachers. Ram?n grew up in Pennsylvania, holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan, is a certified paralegal and TEFL-certified ESL teacher. He founded and was president of a publishing company for 15 years; and has an extensive background in law. Ramon speaks English and Spanish.


Oscar Ortega
Main Office Director for INTESOL Peru, Oscar is a Peruvian citizen, born and raised in Cusco. He is a native Spanish speaker and is also fluent in English. He holds a Masters Degree in Genetics from the University of California-Davis, and is also TEFL certified.
