Accreditation

Accreditation by an external educational body is one of the most important considerations when choosing a TESOL/TEFL course. There a number of non-accredited programs, mini-courses, and <100-hour courses that generally should be avoided if you wish to gain a TESOL/TEFL qualification that is recognised worldwide.

The INTESOL Certificate of Educational Studies in TESOL is externally validated by The College of Teachers, a professional organization that received its Royal Charter for excellence in the field of education in 1849. This Royal Charter grants the College the right to award official UK qualifications, which are recognized worldwide.

As an accredited member of the College of Teachers, INTESOL PERU adheres to a strict code of practice and maintains the highest professional standards in the ESL field.

In a recent statement regarding accreditation of TESOL/TEFL courses, the British Council wrote:

"Currently we consider reputable ELT validating bodies to include UCLES, Trinity College, any UK University, and the College of Teachers."

ODLQC

INTESOL is also an ODLQC (Open and Distance Learning Quality Council) accredited TESOL/TEFL training provider. This means that INTESOL has achieved the standards set by the Council, who is satisfied that the service you – the client and learner – receive from INTESOL will be of high quality.

ODLQC accreditation is awarded only after a rigorous assessment, by independent experts. This ensures that INTESOL meets the Standards set by the Council. Accredited institutions are re-assessed annually.

ODLQC was established in 1969 by a joint government/private sector initiative. It is the national body, which assesses quality in open and distance learning in the UK. Its role is to recognise quality of service through its accreditation, and to protect the interests of open and distance learners.
