Some people have personal or professional commitments that do not allow them to take the full 4-week onsite certification course. For these people INTESOL PERU offers the Hybrid TESOL/TEFL course, which includes online-distance learning combined with two weeks of onsite practical teaching. The final certificate awarded is the same one that trainees receive on the 4-week onsite course. The advantage that the hybrid course offers is the flexibility to complete the theoretical modules of the course at your own pace, while still being able to benefit from professional evaluation and feedback during the 2-week onsite teaching module.
During the online phase, you work on a number of modules, which will be emailed to you. The online-distance component requires approximately 70-90 hours of study. Normally, trainees take between 1-3 months to complete the online-distance phase of the course. You will be assigned a personal tutor who will guide you through the modules and provide you with feedback on each of the assignments you are required to do.
You can begin the hybrid TESOL/TEFL course whenever you want. You also have as long as you
need to complete the online-distance-learning phase. Once this is completed, you can choose which two weeks
you would like to join the onsite course and do your practical teaching module.
